“Blown Away” mural by Paul Jackson

June 6, 2012

At the southeast corner of Broadway and Hitt Street in Columbia MO, you’ll find the Alpine shop, featuring a new mural on its west wall.

My crew, (mostly family), spent the last two weeks painting “Blown Away”, a 16×68′ design that is stopping traffic already. I love ambitious projects, and this one occurred at a good place and time. The weather was somewhat cooperative, although we both baked and froze…no rain.

The project was a load of fun, and I hope the mural fever catches on here.

Hey, Paul! I’ve been picking up my watercolor brushes again (5 kids and ~10 years later)…so of course I had to see what you were up to. Wow! How fun to see your mural, travel info., paintings, etc. This mural encourages my long-held conviction that the artistic sensibility knows know boundaries in its expression. Christine (and Paul) from Columbia, MO.
