The hair comes from the southern end of a northbound male Marten weasel in winter plumage and has become extremely difficult to obtain. This fiber holds more paint and water than any other brush material known. They have a spring to them that makes them fun to paint with and they will last a lifetime if treated nicely. 3/4" double-faced birch plywood, hand crafted and sanded smooth. They are sealed with five coats of polyurethane and fit a 20x26" piece of paper perfectly. Each has horizontal and vertical handles. These are custom made by a cute, ambitious teenager trying to pay for her first car and are very limited. Each comes stretched with a sheet of Arches 260 lb cold press paper.
