Summer fun and inspiration
It is so nice to be home for the summer! This is a rare occurrence for us, as we seem to be in perpetual motion.
This summer we are happy to have a museum exhibition and workshop at home in Columbia, Missouri. The exhibition, “the Adventurous Spirit”, features my recent travel paintings, work from New York, lots of birds, glass and music pieces too. In all, 65 of my large scale paintings can be seen at the Boone County Historical Museum until the end of August. The opening reception was so much fun, we’re having another one this Thursday, July 25th, 5:30-7:30. You are invited. 🙂
I’ll be teaching a watercolor workshop at the museum September 5-7. The class is filling fast. Beginners welcome! If you would like to join me, contact Marla: marlamjackson1@aol.com
While we have some time at home we are exploring the area more, bird watching, float trips, driving the backroads and being re-inspired by fond memories of summers long ago.
