There are no finer watercolor brushes to be had than the custom, handmade Kolinsky Kayaks. The hair comes from the southern end of a northbound male Marten weasel in winter plumage and has become extremely difficult to obtain. This fiber holds more paint and water than any other brush material known. They have a spring to them that makes them fun to paint with and they will last a lifetime if treated nicely.
